Belly-Warming Baking With Jasmine

Food from the oven serves two purposes in winter: first keeping your belly warm from the inside out with freshly baked, roasted or braised home cooking, and second keeping you cosy with the the heat kicking out from the oven while you prep. Buckwheat Apple Skillet Cake

A beautiful breakfast — perfect for the season.

Caramelised Beetroot, Red Onion and Pecan Tart With a Quinoa-Almond Crust

My Christmas centrepiece for 2018, this delicious tart works all year round. Serve with steamed winter greens in the cold weather and a crisp salad come summer.

Caramelised Orange and Pistachio Mung Dal Cake

Rosemary Mung Bean Bread

Another mung bean extravaganza, this bread is a gamechanger for so many reasons. It’s wholesome, easy, simple, gluten-free, high in protein and affordable — oh and nut-free, which is a rarity when it comes to gluten-free baked alternatives!

Chai Spiced Cranberry Cookies

From my most recent Christmas repertoire, these sweet spiced biscuits remind me simultaneously of lovely gatherings with family and friends and of my travels.

Blackberry Apple Ginger Buckwheat Cake

Another apple cake, this one has some extra heat thanks to the  ginger, and a beautiful mottled appearance thanks to the the classic pairing of apples with seasonal blackberries. Serve hot with tea and mmmh…
