The New Zealand-franchise won 33-14 after leading 27-14 at half-time.
John Dobson’s charges crossed the whitewash twice thanks to Juarno Augustus and Sergeal Petersen.
Flyhallf Damian Willemse slotted two conversions for the home side.
The Blues replied with three tries in the match through Dalton Papalii and a brace by Joe Marchant.
Blues’ flyhalf Otere Black had a perfect night with the boot as he added three conversions and four penalties to ensure victory for the Blues.
Next week sees the Blues take on the Hurricanes in Wellington on Saturday, March 7 (08:05 SA time), while the Stormers have a bye.
